Basal Cell Carcinoma is a Cancer

Basal Cell Carcinoma is a cancer that comes from the lowest layer of the epidermis.

More than 90% of the cancer to grow in the skin that is routinely exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet shines. Basal cell carcinoma can also be found on the scalp.
Most often appeared at the age of over 40 years.

Other risk factors are:
Genetic factors (often occur on the skin, blue eyes and blonde hair or green or red)
Excessive exposure to x-rays or other shines.

Basal cell carcinoma usually strikes the surface of the skin that is exposed by the rays of the Sun.
The tumor begins as slick a very small bumps (nodules) and grows very slowly, sometimes so slow so as not to be noticed. But the speed of growth in every different tumors and is reaching the size of 2.5 cm within 1 year.

In the middle of the nodules can be formed.
Sometimes the cancer grows horizontally and looks like scarring.
Boundary edge cancer sometimes seemed to turn white.

Cancer may experience bleeding and forming and then cured, so sufferers expect it as the wound and not cancer.
Actually the turn between bleeding and healing it is typical for basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma.

Basal cell carcinoma rarely spreads to a distant part of the body, but more often infiltrate and destroy the surrounding tissue.
If the basal cell carcinoma growing near eyes, mouth, bones or brain, then the invasion of cancers could be very serious.
Removal of the tumor early can prevent damage to the structure beneath.

Diagnosis often can be enforced through its symptoms.

As a standard procedure to reinforce the diagnosis is usually performed a biopsy of the skin.

Usually the cancer was through curettage then burned with electric needles (curettage and electrodessication) or cut with a scalpel.
Previously given injections of anesthesia.

Very rarely do therapy.

For tumor Chan and basal cell carcinoma that resembles scarring, can do microscopic surgery (Mohs surgery).
Protect your skin from the Sun's light using a hat, shirt long sleeves, long pants or long skirts.

The Sun's most powerful is in the middle of the day, because it should avoid the Sun at noon.

Use high-quality sunscreen with SPF 15, at a minimum, that block the UV rays and UV B A.
Apply sunscreen at least half an hour before travel and apply as often as possible.

Check the skin regularly to know the various changes that lead to violence (new growth on the skin that form, easy bleeding, hard to heal, change color, size, structure, feels pain, inflamed or itchy).
