And this happens without exception. Children can be infected with leukemia. And the number of cases of leukemia in children continues to rise.
There are two types of leukemia
1.Acute leukemia
cancers that grow and develop very quickly and can affect all white blood cells
2. Chronic leukemia
growing more slowly and healthy white blood cells can still be found.
Most of which occurred in children is acute leukemia.
Acute leukemia is twofold:
- Acute myelogenous leukemia Acute leukemia
- Acute lymphocytic leukemia myelogenous
Early symptoms of acute leukemia
- fever
- many infections, because the child is weak against any foreign microorganisms that enter their body.
- anemia
- always feel weakness and fatigue
- easy bruising
- often bleed for no reason (usually occurs in the nose).
- When bleeding can not be stopped for a long time because leukemia affects the cells responsible for wound healing or wound closure.
If the disease is not found, it is not detected early and treated they can be spread through the body and can reach the brain, affecting multiple senses and cause tremendous headaches.
To diagnose leukemia in children must pass through some special tests.
First is the chemotherapy
The aim of chemotherapy is to cure the bone marrow, the organ that produces blood cells are damaged and to kill all the damaged cells from the body. Fixed monitor your child's condition for the disease is not coming back.
Secondly some other treatment depends on how severe the disease.
This cancer can be cured with early detection, intensive treatment and severity and location of cancer that has not spread.
