Risk Factors Liver Cancer Causes

Actually the cause of the really right about the liver cancer has not been found. But scientists and doctors try to find out. If you find one or more risk factors does not mean you should be entitled chance of liver cancer.

Risk factors that include the following:
  • Smoke
  • Diabetes
  • Cirrhosis
  • Infection with hepatitis viruses
  • Low Immunity
  • Anabolic Steroids: hormones to increase muscle mass
  • Arsenic or vinyl chloride
  • Contraceptive pill: eat certain hormones both androgen and estrogen
  • Aflatoxin: Aflatoxin Aspergillus flavus or intoksinasi poison mushrooms, which grow on cereals, peanuts and other foods in humid air
  • Being overweight / obesity
  • Family history

According to the study of factors that reduce the risk of liver cancer is that if a person drinks one or two cups of coffee a day.


What qualifies as a risk factor for liver cancer are:

  • Cyst of bile duct
  • Benign tumors of the bile ducts (adenomas)
  • Bile duct stones
  • Chronic inflammation of the bile ducts (primary sclerosing / PSC) liver disease caused by chronic infection with liver fluke parasite commonly found in pigs and dogs.
